Make it happen!
The Bible says be doers of the faith and not just hearers of the faith.
There is a saying that God only helps those who help themselves. I believe this to be true. In life and business there are many that just "TALK" but never deliver. There is a pastor who preached that 'thou shall not sweat' and as is God will just drop the contract etc on your lap. From experience this is far from the truth.
I believe and from experience that God gives us ideas and open the doors for us, but we have to make it happen and we have to drive it. If you are in a particular business and you cannot drive it, then you are just not in the game and you should not have been in that business or not your core business.
My theme for 2009 is "Make it Happen!". We cannot blame the economy or the circumstances.

Are you taking your opportunities?
Matthew 25:29, "For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will be furnished richly so that he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have will be taken away".
Many self-made millionaires will tell you how they had learnt from their mistakes and when one opportunity came, they made the most of it and made it.
God do create opportunities for us to prosper. But if we can't make the most of it and blame the economy or that government projects etc are difficult then we have not done justice to ourselves. This is simple as God does not led us to failure after so many years.
We must have a vessel for God to bless. Our vessel can be our skills, contacts and existing business. If we have the technical skills but not the contact, then we must build those contacts. If we are pursuing government contracts then we must be driving the cart and not just depend on 3rd parties. I have made cold calls to huge corporations in China and then met the No.2 man to build a relationship with him. God gave me an opportunity, but we must drive it and not just let things drop onto your feet. I would not have made it if I just waited and "trust" God. I have to drive at it to make things happen after God had pointed and opened the door.
If God had opened the door and after so many years of failure, we must ask WHY? If we don't then we are not even honest with ourselves. Are we even in the game or is it just wishful thinking?
