Are you pondering the year ahead with apprehension, or is there a silent hope brewing up in your spirit like mine?  If the past few years were about groping for “any” path that came or seemed right, then 2026 is about entering that expressway towards your goals, your destiny.

In 2025 not everything had turned out the way I had prayed or wished. I had my share of disappointments and heartbreaks. But disappointments are God's way of saying, "I've got something better for you, be patient as it is not the right time yet, trust My plan, and have faith," redirecting you to greater blessings, favour, or opportunities, teaching reliance on Him rather than worldly outcomes, and encouraging spiritual growth through trust and redirection. 

So in this lunar transition, let’s stop focusing on the disappointments and heartbreaks. There will be a more suitable relationship for me,  more business openings, while the projects I started prior to 2026 will also begin to take shape. 

FOUNDATIONAL

I believe the year 2025 was all about getting the foundation correct. It was about me collecting the necessary jigsaw pieces for the overall picture, while ridding the pieces that don’t quite fit. In 2026 all things will begin to fall in place, align, and the picture will begin take form. 

Perhaps in the past 2 years we had invested in some projects without seeing any results. God was working in the background on your behalf. He had to knit it all – cause your destiny-helpers to somehow bump into you, to collide the perfect timing to prise open those opportunities. You may see nothing overtly happening but God often uses darkness to prepare our greatness (Exodus 14:21-22). So wait for Him to perform the miracles in the background and don’t give up heart. He is the cornerstone upon which we can rely on to build our foundation upon (Ephesians 2:20). All those afflictions and setbacks are bricks being laid for the genesis of our destiny. He has been quietly building me – brick by brick.

KEEP LEARNING, KEEP EVOLVING

The world is shifting under our feet faster than we can run. Artificial Intelligence, trade wars, economic fragmentation (G7 vs BRICS), competing payment systems and the green transition to name a few. The rules of the game are being rewritten every day.  I had to evolve from writing books on placenta, to learn and master the new technologies in Regenerative Medicine. I had to keep learning about the latest nutritional products, new scientific paradigms, quantum energy, read financial papers and be a part-time electrician, doctor, author, consultant and team leader. 

The world is fundamentally changing and consequently so must we. The skills that got me to where I am, is not going to get me where God wants me to go. “Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts” (Proverbs 24:3-4; Living Bible). The key is to keep innovating ourselves. If we stop innovating we become redundant. It takes information with innovation and “inspired revelation” for an impartation for transformation that can lead to enviable manifestation in any enterprise. 

WILL YOU REPEAT THE SAME MISTAKES?

2026 is staring us in the face. There will be some that will repeat the same year they just lived. They will tell the same stories, give the same excuses and complain about the same problem. They will earn the same income and struggle with the same habits. Sounds familiar? Then they wonder why nothing has changed. Their peers went ahead of them coz they innovated and reinvented themselves, while they lack the courage to step out of their comfort zone. Working years-on-end just to pay the bills is not living, it is existing, Furthermore, it's not the hours you put in, but what you put into the hours. There is nothing wrong with working hard but without a new perspective, a new angle, where will it get you?

Do you have the courage to truly live in 2026? Sometimes it doesn’t matter if we failed, for they are lessons in itself. Who hasn’t failed before?  I certainly have. Below are good sentiments from the 26^thPresident of the United States.

INNOVATION

In a fast world, being slow to evolve is expensive. Standing still is even costlier. We can’t afford to stay idle. With AI and digital connectivity it is often not the biggest fish that wins, but the fastest fish. The fastest to innovate, adapt and see future market trends/opportunities is the winner. Just look at who invented the car. Henry Ford! But whose cars are the best-selling now? Not Ford, Toyota, BMW or Tesla but BYD.  Alexander Bell invented the phone, but whose phones are technologically the best? Not  the redundant Motorola大哥大 or Ericson (I had both these mobile phones) but Apple/Huawei/Samsung.

I could only afford an Ericson phone while my richer sister had an expensive Blackberry. Its extinction is stemmed from failing to adapt to the touchscreen revolution with rich app ecosystems, multimedia, and intuitive interface. They were sitting on the pedestal and failed to realise there was serious competition coming from the i-phone. 

Every day that we procrastinate is interest accumulated for the lessons we refused to learn. Continuous learning is foundational. It is essential. The cost of being idle and not evolving shows up later – usually in regret, regretting the chances we didn’t take, the skill you didn’t learnt and the person you didn’t become.  Innovation on the other hand, will break all your limitations.

The calendar is going to flip into 2026. The question is who will you become at the end of 2026? Hopefully I will be a better version of myself – starting businesses that I have never owned before; or a romantic interest that never opened up to me before; buying a property class that I couldn’t afford previously; speak on platforms that I have never been given a chance; and my ministry to reach where it had never reached before. (P.s I am encouraged there about 3000 views on this blog per month – top 3 includes Singapore, HK and China, then USA, Germany and Malaysia)

WE ARE LUCKY TO BE IN EAST ASIA

We are lucky as the center of gravity of the world’s economy is moving towards East Asia. The whole world is expecting the rise of Asia in the 21^st century. Asia contributes 60% of global economic growth.  

ASEAN (includes Malaysia & Singapore) despite having an economy 1/5^th the size of the European Union  (EU) contributed more global economic growth than the EU between 2010-2020 (https://jakartaglobe.id/business/asean-bigger-contributor-to-global-economy-than-eu-official) and the trend can only continue. God has placed us in the prime of our careers in the fastest economic growth zone. 

Singaporean academic and ex-diplomat, Kishore Mahbubani, shared that in the year 2000, Europe’s Gross National Product (GNP) was 8 times that of China. In 2025 it is about the same. By 2050, China’s GNP will be 8 times that of the EU.  In the year 2000 the British economy was 3.5 times that of India. Today India’s economy is bigger than that of the UK. By 2050 India’s GNP will be 4 times that of the UK. These are profound fundamental shift. I am fortunate I also have my business feet planted in China.

AFRICA & LATIN AMERICA

With Chinese investments instead of Western exploitation, some African nations are also beginning to experience economic advancements. Much needed infrastructure like roads, bridges and ports are being built by the Chinese in exchange for natural resources. China has lifted an immense number of its own people out of poverty, with figures often cited around 800 million lifted out of extreme poverty over the last four decades. I am not praising the Chinese nor saying they are angels, but they are now helping the global south arise from poverty, western suppression and exploitation.

In Latin America, Caracas is showing the rest of the continent that they can get out of the stranglehold put on them by the U.S.  There are now alternatives and the world is now multipolar.  Iranian and Russian weapons have arrived in Caracas, and it is postulated that Russia may have deployed Wagner mercenary forces in Venezuela to complicate any U.S invasion. 

Meanwhile Chinese money has prevented the Venezuelan economy collapsing from U.S sanctions. They have been buying U.S sanctioned oil from Venezuela at about US$20 per barrel below market rate. For every tanker Trump had seized, ten tankers made it to China. China has also been buying at a discount the U.S sanctioned oil from Russia and Iran, so their energy cost is so cheap that there is no way the Europeans or the U.S can compete with them.

China's major investment in Peru’s new Chancay Megaport, a Chinese-built, majority-owned (Cosco) deepwater facility near Lima, inaugurated in late 2024, that serves as a critical BRI project, creating a direct, faster shipping route between South America and China for vital minerals, agricultural goods, electronics, and machinery, positioning Peru as an Asian trade gateway and boosting trade volumes significantly. It bypasses the U.S controlled shipping lanes and shorten shipping times. The U.S long considered Latin America as its own backyard, but is gradually losing its influence. For example, Brazil and Argentina are now members of BRICS and trade between the duo and China have surged massively. 

Small countries like Malaysia and Singapore must resist choosing sides as the US-China geopolitical rivalry continues, despite pressure from Washington. Recently China sanctioned 20 U.S defence companies and 10 executives over a US$11 billion arm sales to Taiwan. The sanctions entail freezing the companies’ assets in China and banning individuals and organizations from dealing with them. The Pentagon is also panicking as China freezes export of rare earth especially Antimony  (& germanium and gallium) which is needed for U.S Defence production. 

There is much undercurrent in the world we are living in now – both the seen and unseen. The progenitor of both the seen & unseen, are the principalities, the powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, the spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). Those without the Spirit can never see how the truth is unfolding. They do not have spiritual discernment or the spiritual eyes. Furthermore, cynics cannot imagine an alternative that contradicts their current belief. People are prepared for everything except for the fact that beyond the darkness of their blindness there is a great light.

As the world gets darker and towards the beginning of the end-times, the more we need to anchor our hope, our future in Him. He is the light of the world (John 8:12). The fireworks are about to welcome the new year, and by His grace may we all evolve not just to survive, but to thrive and flourish.

After the exodus from Egypt, the journey to Canaan involved significant conflicts, including major battles led by Moses before crossing the Jordan (against Sihon and Og) and numerous campaigns under Joshua (like Jericho, Ai, and later confederacies in the South and North), totalling many confrontations during the forty years in the wilderness. 

OG: A GIANT BIGGER THAN GOLIATH

My journey to my personal promise land has been full of hurdles and obstacles. Likewise were many obstacles along the way that the Israelites had to encounter on their way to Canaan. One of them was King Og of Bashan, a giant Amorite king described in the Old Testament (Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua) as a fearsome ruler of sixty cities who was the last of the mighty Rephaim giants. His huge iron bed (or sarcophagus) measured nine cubits by four cubits (approximately 13.5 ft by 6 ft), a testament to his immense stature. His colossal size is even bigger than Goliath who David had famously slew. 

Og king of Bashan was the last of the Rephaites. His bed was decorated with iron and was more than nine cubits long and four cubits wide (Deut 3:11)

 

 

If we compare Goliath with King Og, we find that King Og was much taller. Goliath was about 9 feet 9 inches tall. But King Og was much taller, at least 11 feet tall. Some scholars even believe that King Og was as tall as 18 feet! He was the most feared giant in the Bible!

MOSES DEFEATED OG OF BASHAN

King Og, refused passage to the Israelites, attacked them at Edrei, but was decisively defeated by God's help, with Israel conquering his kingdom of Bashan, just as they had with King Sihon before him, fulfilling God's promise to give them the land. This event is detailed in Numbers 21:21-35 and Deuteronomy 3, showing God's faithfulness and Israel's growing power. 

So whatever GIANTS that you are facing, do not be afraid, for the grace of God will deliver victory to you – be it fear, illness, or financial problems. God is faithful and can overcome any of our enemies, no matter how fearsome or how big they are. Og symbolizes opposition that seems impossible to overcome. Yet, his downfall serves as a reminder that no enemy can stand against God when He fights for His people.

“如果写一首诗，我更想写一首给你们的诗，一首 朴素的诗，一首从容的诗，一首高歌猛进的诗，一首敢闯敢为的诗, 一首希望的诗。。”

Canaan is known in religious texts, as the "Promised Land" — the fertile territory God promised to His children, as their everlasting inheritance, a place of blessing and flourishing, symbolising a divine covenant and a fulfilment for His children. 

However, they were terrified to enter Canaan upon hearing of reports of the giants living there. 

As we set out in 2026 to claim our personal “Promise Land” there will be many ‘giants’, many big obstacles and challenges in the way, but God can turn them into our biggest blessings. Be patient, for victory is a process. Little by little He will drive out the giants (Deut 7:22). Just utter His word, for the battle is the Lord’s and He will give the victory unto our hands (1 Samuel 17: 47).

Let’s all be clear in our directions, and be ready to go. Keep praying, keep believing. Let’s all reach our own Canaan in 2026 and beyond. The Canaan where God’s promises to you and all that you have prayed for will be fulfilled. Lets flourish! Amen!

The world is getting more insane than ever. The US sanctions and naval blockade of Venezuela to prevent it from exporting oil is a pure sign of desperation. Set aside the political theatre about protecting democracy and war against drug cartels, the impending US attack on Venezuela is to protect the PetroDollar. For the past 50 years every drop of oil sold had to be transacted in the US dollar. Now there are alternatives like BRICS Pay, Local Currency Settlement and PetroYuan.

GREENLAND (part of Denmark)

President trump has repeatedly suggested the US should buy or seize Greenland - presumably for its vast minerals and oil resources though he cited for national security. He just named a special envoy to Greenland yesterday.

The U.S. with a $1.9 trillion deficit and roughly $9.2 trillion in existing debt maturing in 2025, total issuance needs to exceed $10 trillion for the year to cover all obligations. But who is going to buy the new debt? The Fed to print more money again if there are no takers? 

Japan is selling their US bonds not coz they want to destroy the US but to save themselves. Europe? They are all broke. Their central banks are all choking with government debt. They can't even save themselves. If the Saudis and China buy more of their new debt it's just paying for the funeral coz the patient (US economy) is already dead. With an un-repayable US$38 trillion in national debt and US$1 trillion in interest payments it is technically dead. More money printing will lead to hyperinflation.

Equally absurd is the NATO proxy war using Ukraine against Russia which started in 2014 (Maidan coup) not 2022. The EU is basically broke but trying to find ways to keep the Russian-Ukraine war going. They are even trying to use the Russian frozen assets to fund the war for another 2 years despite warnings from ECB's Christine Lagarde. The globalist elites had wanted to break up Russia into smaller states, and strip it of its resources – oil, gas, uranium and other vast natural resources. Kaja Kallas, the EU foreign policy chief confirmed this. They thought all the sanctions and freezing of Russian sovereign assets will lead to a regime change. But God will not allow it. In the whole of Europe, only Russia still have family values, a male is a male and a female is a female, no in between. No LBGT rights and all those things incongruent with the word of God in Russia. The rest of Europe is morally decadent just like Sodom and Gomorrah.

MY OWN CHRISTMAS FEELINGS

The festive season is in the air as I reflect on what a year that was. The battle scars from 2025 are yet to heal completely but I know by God’s grace all things will eventually turn out for the better. Like the empires of old, love can also come and go, but God’s love is eternal. Friends too come and go. 

Certainly a lot of new acquaintances I only met this year (2025). Not all are meant to journey together with me in my life forever. God will allow some to leave, those that are not meant to go through the next phase of my life with me. They are with you for a season to teach us a lesson and vice versa.  Not all connections are meant to last a lifetime. Some are brief yet the impact is profound.Every soul that enters my life comes with a purpose. Some come as fleeting whispers, while some leave indelible marks on the canvas of our existence. 

GRATITUDE

But be thankful for all the relationships and friendships, for the love and for the lessons they brought. Old and new friends are alike; one is akin to gold and the other silver. They are all precious. Even if there is pain and confusion, find the blessings within those experiences. For it is through challenges we grow the most and discover the essence of who we are. 

I had to learn to be a better person for the next person.  I know I am not perfect, but I am genuine. Before God can use me He must break me deeply. It is not punishment but removing all the obstacles (stubbornness, impatience etc) in me to make me usable, to be a usable vessel of the gospel. There are 4 gospels – Mark, Matthew, Luke & John, but the only gospel most of my friends  will ever read is the gospel I write, the gospel I live. So if you feel your world is falling apart don’t give up. The same hand that breaks you is also the same hands that heals you. Once He has broken you He will fill you with what the world can’t touch – His power, presence and purpose. 

God is still working on me, so I need to be patient and trust His process. He is guiding me to an understanding that I need of myself and others. He is giving me a new identity, not one defined by my past, or shaped by previous traumas, or the opinions of others but one rooted in His truth. God speaks to your new identity and assignment, not your performance or failures. 

Merry Christmas 2025 and may we all rest in His grace in the coming year. His assignment  for you in the coming years are always bigger than you. “God-size assignment” always require “God-size dependence and providence”. His assignment for us will never be small. So I need to keep trusting Him!

As I was giving a talk on “Trends in Regenerative Medicine" yesterday, I could not but feel ambivalent regarding my own  emotions and my personal life. A life riddled with uncertainty, instability, unsettled and as Dr Eng muttered 人生起起落落 it resonated with me. A career with such a long stretch of downs and moving on in relationships hurts each time, even when moving to a new person as we all want stability not change. We need stability to go far in our career.

With Christmas around the corner and mum’s 89th birthday today I realized I need to get stronger after each setback. Because there is a gift that can’t be bought or sold, that is more precious than all kingly jewels. A gift to the world that is meant to bind us all. Yet the world is divided, full of sorrow, and wars that threaten to wipe out our earthly existence.  

Under God’s protective rainbow, His mercies have endured despite our propensity to self-destruct. Like many of us here, I have made many mistakes in life. I know it is His mercy surrounding me that kept me alive. Where others see mistakes, God sees potential. When I failed badly, God saw restoration. In this coming year let us join our hands together to grow and evolve to a better destiny for us, and our love ones, despite the world being increasingly chaotic. The company plan binds us all to succeed as it is global profit sharing. Dato Jackson shared yesterday at the workshop that if a crab tries to crawl out of a bucket the crab below will pull it back so it will never succeed in getting out. They work against each other and when they see one is ahead they will pull you back. Crabs work against each other but a colony of ants work for each other. Let’s have the “ants” mindset. If you succeed then so will I.

We live in a fallen world. The whole creation has been groaning and travailing in pain right up to the present time (Romans 8:22). Nature itself groans as disasters of increasing magnitude and frequency are afflicting the earth more fortuitously than ever before. The rivers are sick of being polluted. The entire ecology with its flora and fauna is sick of suffering. The whole creation groans and beckons to be delivered.

Mankind himself too has been groaning (Romans 8:23) as we are sick of seeing our loved ones grow old, our young ones struck down by accidents, and our middle aged afflicted by diseases.   

God has already begun His redemption and the deliverance is near. That’s why we have Easter and Christmas. We are seeing the unfolding of the end-times in the book of Revelations. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: white (covid), red (war/bloodshed), black (famine/rationing), and pale/green (one world order). These symbolize escalating judgments and tribulations on Earth as the Lamb (Jesus) opens the seals of a scroll, signalling the beginning of end-times events and God's wrath. 

The black horse signifies famine, and it may come as soon as Trump ends his second term. But we are  set apart and sanctified, not by our own achievements but redemption in the gift of Christ Jesus. Therefore His children will expect abundance not famine. Generosity is not just what God does - it is who He is and Christ is the revelation of that truth.

As the world gets darker, we will shine more brightly. We will be enriched in every way as our soul prosper (3 John 1:2). This confidence is not arrogance, but because our roots is tapping into divine flow, our inheritance in Christ Jesus.
