Happy New Year 2026

Are you pondering the year ahead with apprehension, or is there a silent hope brewing up in your spirit like mine?  If the past few years were about groping for “any” path that came or seemed right, then 2026 is about entering that expressway towards your goals, your destiny.

 

In 2025 not everything had turned out the way I had prayed or wished. I had my share of disappointments and heartbreaks. But disappointments are God's way of saying, "I've got something better for you, be patient as it is not the right time yet, trust My plan, and have faith," redirecting you to greater blessings, favour, or opportunities, teaching reliance on Him rather than worldly outcomes, and encouraging spiritual growth through trust and redirection. 

 

So in this lunar transition, let’s stop focusing on the disappointments and heartbreaks. There will be a more suitable relationship for me,  more business openings, while the projects I started prior to 2026 will also begin to take shape. 

 

 

FOUNDATIONAL

 

I believe the year 2025 was all about getting the foundation correct. It was about me collecting the necessary jigsaw pieces for the overall picture, while ridding the pieces that don’t quite fit. In 2026 all things will begin to fall in place, align, and the picture will begin take form. 

 

Perhaps in the past 2 years we had invested in some projects without seeing any results. God was working in the background on your behalf. He had to knit it all – cause your destiny-helpers to somehow bump into you, to collide the perfect timing to prise open those opportunities. You may see nothing overtly happening but God often uses darkness to prepare our greatness (Exodus 14:21-22). So wait for Him to perform the miracles in the background and don’t give up heart. He is the cornerstone upon which we can rely on to build our foundation upon (Ephesians 2:20). All those afflictions and setbacks are bricks being laid for the genesis of our destiny. He has been quietly building me – brick by brick.

 

 

KEEP LEARNING, KEEP EVOLVING

 

The world is shifting under our feet faster than we can run. Artificial Intelligence, trade wars, economic fragmentation (G7 vs BRICS), competing payment systems and the green transition to name a few. The rules of the game are being rewritten every day.  I had to evolve from writing books on placenta, to learn and master the new technologies in Regenerative Medicine. I had to keep learning about the latest nutritional products, new scientific paradigms, quantum energy, read financial papers and be a part-time electrician, doctor, author, consultant and team leader. 

 

The world is fundamentally changing and consequently so must we. The skills that got me to where I am, is not going to get me where God wants me to go. “Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts” (Proverbs 24:3-4; Living Bible). The key is to keep innovating ourselves. If we stop innovating we become redundant. It takes information with innovation and “inspired revelation” for an impartation for transformation that can lead to enviable manifestation in any enterprise. 

 

 

 

WILL YOU REPEAT THE SAME MISTAKES?

 

2026 is staring us in the face. There will be some that will repeat the same year they just lived. They will tell the same stories, give the same excuses and complain about the same problem. They will earn the same income and struggle with the same habits. Sounds familiar? Then they wonder why nothing has changed. Their peers went ahead of them coz they innovated and reinvented themselves, while they lack the courage to step out of their comfort zone. Working years-on-end just to pay the bills is not living, it is existing, Furthermore, it's not the hours you put in, but what you put into the hours. There is nothing wrong with working hard but without a new perspective, a new angle, where will it get you?

 

Do you have the courage to truly live in 2026? Sometimes it doesn’t matter if we failed, for they are lessons in itself. Who hasn’t failed before?  I certainly have. Below are good sentiments from the 26thPresident of the United States.

INNOVATION

 

In a fast world, being slow to evolve is expensive. Standing still is even costlier. We can’t afford to stay idle. With AI and digital connectivity it is often not the biggest fish that wins, but the fastest fish. The fastest to innovate, adapt and see future market trends/opportunities is the winner. Just look at who invented the car. Henry Ford! But whose cars are the best-selling now? Not Ford, Toyota, BMW or Tesla but BYD.  Alexander Bell invented the phone, but whose phones are technologically the best? Not  the redundant Motorola大哥大 or Ericson (I had both these mobile phones) but Apple/Huawei/Samsung.

 

I could only afford an Ericson phone while my richer sister had an expensive Blackberry. Its extinction is stemmed from failing to adapt to the touchscreen revolution with rich app ecosystems, multimedia, and intuitive interface. They were sitting on the pedestal and failed to realise there was serious competition coming from the i-phone. 

 

Every day that we procrastinate is interest accumulated for the lessons we refused to learn. Continuous learning is foundational. It is essential. The cost of being idle and not evolving shows up later – usually in regret, regretting the chances we didn’t take, the skill you didn’t learnt and the person you didn’t become.  Innovation on the other hand, will break all your limitations.

 

The calendar is going to flip into 2026. The question is who will you become at the end of 2026? Hopefully I will be a better version of myself – starting businesses that I have never owned before; or a romantic interest that never opened up to me before; buying a property class that I couldn’t afford previously; speak on platforms that I have never been given a chance; and my ministry to reach where it had never reached before. (P.s I am encouraged there about 3000 views on this blog per month – top 3 includes Singapore, HK and China, then USA, Germany and Malaysia)

 

WE ARE LUCKY TO BE IN EAST ASIA

 

We are lucky as the center of gravity of the world’s economy is moving towards East Asia. The whole world is expecting the rise of Asia in the 21st century. Asia contributes 60% of global economic growth.  





ASEAN (includes Malaysia & Singapore) despite having an economy 1/5th the size of the European Union  (EU) contributed more global economic growth than the EU between 2010-2020 (https://jakartaglobe.id/business/asean-bigger-contributor-to-global-economy-than-eu-official) and the trend can only continue. God has placed us in the prime of our careers in the fastest economic growth zone

 

Singaporean academic and ex-diplomat, Kishore Mahbubani, shared that in the year 2000, Europe’s Gross National Product (GNP) was 8 times that of China. In 2025 it is about the same. By 2050, China’s GNP will be 8 times that of the EU.  In the year 2000 the British economy was 3.5 times that of India. Today India’s economy is bigger than that of the UK. By 2050 India’s GNP will be 4 times that of the UK. These are profound fundamental shift. I am fortunate I also have my business feet planted in China.





 

AFRICA & LATIN AMERICA

 

With Chinese investments instead of Western exploitation, some African nations are also beginning to experience economic advancements. Much needed infrastructure like roads, bridges and ports are being built by the Chinese in exchange for natural resources. China has lifted an immense number of its own people out of poverty, with figures often cited around 800 million lifted out of extreme poverty over the last four decades. I am not praising the Chinese nor saying they are angels, but they are now helping the global south arise from poverty, western suppression and exploitation.

 

In Latin America, Caracas is showing the rest of the continent that they can get out of the stranglehold put on them by the U.S.  There are now alternatives and the world is now multipolar.  Iranian and Russian weapons have arrived in Caracas, and it is postulated that Russia may have deployed Wagner mercenary forces in Venezuela to complicate any U.S invasion. 

 

Meanwhile Chinese money has prevented the Venezuelan economy collapsing from U.S sanctions. They have been buying U.S sanctioned oil from Venezuela at about US$20 per barrel below market rate. For every tanker Trump had seized, ten tankers made it to China. China has also been buying at a discount the U.S sanctioned oil from Russia and Iran, so their energy cost is so cheap that there is no way the Europeans or the U.S can compete with them.

 

US interference in Latin America as part of the Monroe doctrine

  • Guatemala (1954): CIA-backed coup overthrew democratically elected President Jacobo Árbenz.
  • Chile (1973): CIA helped destabilize and overthrow President Salvador Allende, leading to Pinochet's dictatorship.
  • Nicaragua (1980s): U.S. funded the Contras against the Sandinista government.
  • Venezuela (2000s-Present): U.S. opposition to socialist leaders Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro, leading to sanctions and alleged coup attempts. 

 

China's major investment in Peru’s new Chancay Megaport, a Chinese-built, majority-owned (Cosco) deepwater facility near Lima, inaugurated in late 2024, that serves as a critical BRI project, creating a direct, faster shipping route between South America and China for vital minerals, agricultural goods, electronics, and machinery, positioning Peru as an Asian trade gateway and boosting trade volumes significantly. It bypasses the U.S controlled shipping lanes and shorten shipping times. The U.S long considered Latin America as its own backyard, but is gradually losing its influence. For example, Brazil and Argentina are now members of BRICS and trade between the duo and China have surged massively. 

 




Small countries like Malaysia and Singapore must resist choosing sides as the US-China geopolitical rivalry continues, despite pressure from Washington. Recently China sanctioned 20 U.S defence companies and 10 executives over a US$11 billion arm sales to Taiwan. The sanctions entail freezing the companies’ assets in China and banning individuals and organizations from dealing with them. The Pentagon is also panicking as China freezes export of rare earth especially Antimony  (& germanium and gallium) which is needed for U.S Defence production. 

 

There is much undercurrent in the world we are living in now – both the seen and unseen. The progenitor of both the seen & unseen, are the principalities, the powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, the spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). Those without the Spirit can never see how the truth is unfolding. They do not have spiritual discernment or the spiritual eyes. Furthermore, cynics cannot imagine an alternative that contradicts their current belief. People are prepared for everything except for the fact that beyond the darkness of their blindness there is a great light.

 

As the world gets darker and towards the beginning of the end-times, the more we need to anchor our hope, our future in Him. He is the light of the world (John 8:12). The fireworks are about to welcome the new year, and by His grace may we all evolve not just to survive, but to thrive and flourish.
