Memories

My cell group singing at the shore of East Cost Park, Singapore.
My cell group posing with me holding the water baptism certificate.

Farewell to C3 cell group, Hope of God (Singapore)
(29 November 1998)

What I will take back home with me are the memories
of those moments we spent playing baseball together,
.......in the night,.........the light,.........and the half light.......

Then as God drew the curtains of darkness,
we cuddled theatre-style,..............................................
viewing the imagination of His creation ,.....................
where the sky and sea meets in a gray of infinity............

Then as Andrew plucked his strings,
we praised God with our dear hearts and prayers,........
God perhaps was pleased,..................... and smiled,.......
and the light broke,............spangling the night............,
with the moon and the stars.......................................

The unity of our hearts,
the love of God transcends,
as the moonbeam kisses the sea,
as if heaven kissed the earth...

We sang on,
and God laughed,
and the chirpy waters became a sonnet to our melodies.
Occasionally God yawned, stirring the winds and all below.....,
so that we can feel the breath of life from Him so fresh,..........
........so real,.....so gentle,........ embraced over our silky skin.....

Now the sky is no more darker than a hundred midnights.
How pure and dear this dwelling-place,
forever I will treasure in my heart.

Our existence is but a moment in eternity,
yet that night was so rich,........ so calm,........so soft,....yet eloquent.
The smile from Him that wins,
the tint from above that glows.
I pray that one day God will bring us all back together again
to savour the same beauty,.......same vision, ..........same joy..........same intimacy.

Love never fails,
Victor.
