Worship the Provider, not the provision
"Life is fragile like a candle flame;
That time will only kill"
Who knows how long our flame, our life can continue. Like what Elton John crooned, our life is like "a candle in the wind" firstly in a song tribute to Marilyn Monroe and then to Lady Diana Spencer. Our lives can be extinguished anytime. Who knows when a cruel wind might blow?
Many setbacks in life interrupted my idolatry; that is to idolise things like wealth, status etc and not Him.
I had a bad bike accident few days ago which could have resulted in serious injuries/death but the Lord protected me. It reminded me its the Provider, not the provision that matters. Stay humble, stay focused on God alone, and not materials things.
