The Process Behind the Product: A Biblical Perspective

Yesterday, I received my formal appointment letter to conduct health courses approved by USM. After reviewing my syllabus and materials, they awarded all three courses Professional Certificate status. Previously, at UTM, my courses were classified as Certificates of Completion.

I am grateful for this recognition, but I am even more grateful for the journey that brought me here. This achievement was not produced overnight. It was shaped through years of learning, research, perseverance, and faith.

At the end of 2022, after returning from Ironman Western Australia, I was invited to develop health courses for an institution affiliated with UTM. For more than 18 months, I spent many nights researching, writing the course manuals, and preparing the PowerPoint presentations. The manuals were eventually published.

Having been away from the healthcare market for more than a decade, I had to study diligently to understand the latest scientific developments. The process was demanding, but it also became a season of renewal—refreshing my knowledge, strengthening my understanding, and preparing me for new opportunities.

This experience reminded me of Proverbs 24:3–4:

“Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts.”
— The Living Bible

The Bible teaches us that meaningful work requires wisdom, preparation, diligence, and faithfulness. Success is not merely the result of talent or opportunity. It is often the fruit of faithfully doing the work that others do not see.

One of the modules I developed, “Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Therapy,” opened many doors for me in this field. It led me toward my upcoming clinic in Longevity Medicine and gave me the opportunity to learn about the practical applications of these therapies in China.

Looking back, I can see how God used each season to prepare me for the next. In the early 2000s, when I transitioned from the pharmaceutical industry into supplying products and consulting for direct-selling companies, I spent 18 months writing Staying Healthy, Staying Vital. I devoted 12 months to research and reading, followed by six months of writing. It became, in many ways, my personal master’s degree in nutrition and supplements.

After that, I wrote another dozen health booklets, which were sold in Popular Bookstore outlets and selected pharmacies under Oak Publications. One of the books I wrote 20 years ago, Secrets of the Rich and Famous—Live Cell Therapy, helped revive my career when I had almost nothing left 6 years ago.

At the time, I may not have understood how all these experiences would fit together. But today, I can see that the knowledge, skills, and opportunities were part of a larger preparation. What appeared to be separate chapters were gradually being woven into one story.

People often celebrate the product—the certificate, the book, the course, or the business—but they rarely see the process behind it. They do not see the late nights, sacrifices, uncertainty, research, correction, and perseverance.

Yet Scripture reminds us:

“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”
— Zechariah 4:10, The Living Bible

The visible achievement is only the harvest. The unseen process is where the seed is planted, cultivated, and strengthened.

I therefore receive this appointment not merely as an achievement, but as a responsibility and an opportunity to serve. Whatever knowledge and experience I have gained are gifts entrusted to me. My prayer is to use them wisely, honestly, and for the benefit of others.

People see the product, but God sees the process. People celebrate the outcome, but God knows every sacrifice that made it possible.
